Lets talk about place…the command

Let’s talk about the “place” command for dogs! 🐾

The “place” command can be beneficial for a few things from at home to enjoying a public dog friendly space with your dog.

In-home “place” can help manage simple household task like; cleaning, sitting down to eat, people visiting, answering the door and more.

Outside of home “place” command can help manage your dog in unfamiliar environments like; pet friendly patios, brewery’s, friends houses and more.

Teaching your dog “place” to help benefit and manage situations. Starting off simple and almost zero distractions to build a solid foundation first. Then adding timing duration and distractions. Having a command your dog is familiar with & understands can help build confidence in new environments.

(NOTE: commands are not one size fits all varying your dog as an individual. Reactive dogs are better having a choice to get up and move rather be stuck in fight mode.) we love sharing tips and tricks but we highly recommend working with a professional!
